Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: October 7, 2026
Generated via SnapPaperwork. For legitimate business record-keeping only. Falsifying rental receipts is illegal under state and federal law.
SnapPaperwork's tools exist to help people keep honest records. This policy explains what is not allowed. It is part of our Terms of Use.
You must not use the site to
- Create false or misleading documents. This includes a receipt, invoice, packing slip or any other document that records a payment, sale, delivery, tenancy or transaction that did not happen, or that states an amount, date or party that is not true.
- Deceive or defraud anyone. For example, to claim an expense, tax deduction, credit or refund you are not entitled to; to mislead a landlord, tenant, employer, lender, insurer, government agency or court; or to support a false claim of any kind.
- Pretend to be someone else. Do not use another person's or business's name, address, signature or identity without their permission, or imply that a document comes from an organisation it does not.
- Break the law. Do not use the site for anything illegal in the place where you or the recipient live, including fraud, forgery and tax evasion.
- Harass, threaten or harm others.
- Interfere with the site. Do not attack, overload or probe it for weaknesses, bypass its protections, or use bots or scrapers to copy its content at scale.
- Infringe other people's rights, such as copyright, trademarks or privacy.
What is fine
Using the tools to produce accurate documents for real payments and transactions, practising with sample data, and saving or printing documents for your own records are all welcome. Correcting a genuine mistake by issuing a new, accurate document is also fine, as long as you are open about it with the other party.
Consequences
Falsifying documents can be a crime and can cause serious harm to other people. We may block access for anyone who breaks this policy. Where the law requires it, or where we believe someone is at risk, we may cooperate with the authorities. Because your entries stay in your browser, we do not normally hold the documents you create.
Reporting misuse
If you believe a document made with our tools is being used to deceive someone, tell us at hello@snappaperwork.com or through the Contact page.
