Free Printable No Soliciting SignFunny, polite or plain: make a no soliciting sign for your front door, doorbell or window, then print it or save a PDF. No sign-up, nothing uploaded.
Design
Whole page · the printed page has no watermark or logo.
Some text does not fit: a word is too wide for its space, or text is too close to the edge of the sign, where most printers cut it off. Shorten the title or the message, make something smaller (click or tap it on the sign), or try another design.

How to make a no soliciting sign in 3 steps
-
Choose the kind of sign
Plain no soliciting, funny, no religious or political visits, English and Spanish, do not knock or ring the doorbell, dogs will bark, baby sleeping, no flyers, or a note for delivery drivers.
-
Pick a design and say it your way
Eight designs, from red street-sign styles with a crossed-out salesman to a classic plaque or a friendly rounded frame, in eight ink colours. Click any words on the sign to rewrite them.
-
Print and post it
Print a full page, or two half-page signs to cut apart for the door and a window. Put it in a clear sleeve if it gets rain.
Red no soliciting signs that look like street signs
- Three red designs read from the street like a metal sign: Plate (a red band with the title in narrow white capitals, a crossed-out salesman and a row of small pictures), Panel (a red frame, a short message and a list) and Big No (a huge “NO” next to the crossed-out salesman).
- Tick up to six small pictures to cross out: sales, politics, religion, flyers and menus, surveys, fundraising or solar offers. On the Panel design they become a list: “No sales”, “No political causes”…
- For an “Absolutely no soliciting, no exceptions” sign, choose Plate, type “Absolutely” in the small line above the title, and keep “No Exceptions” at the bottom.
- Printed on paper, it looks like a metal sign from across the yard. Outdoors, slide it into a clear sheet protector or laminate it.
Funny no soliciting signs
- Choose Funny no soliciting, then pick one of thirteen ready-made lines: “Knock knock. Nobody’s Home”, “We Already Have One”, “The Dogs Will Lose It”, “Unless You Have Pizza”, “Introverts Live Here”, “We’re Not Buying It” and more.
- Every line can be rewritten: click the words on the sign, or type in the Message box.
- A clever sign still needs to say no soliciting clearly. Most of the ready-made lines say it in the small print, so visitors get the joke and the message.
- The Friendly design (rounded frame, wavy line) suits a funny sign; Bold reads from the street.
Polite, cute and classy no soliciting signs for your front door
- A polite sign tends to be respected more than an angry one: “No sales, surveys or flyers, please. Thank you for respecting our privacy.”
- For a classy, tasteful look, use the Classic design (double frame, serif capitals, a small ornament) in Brass, Navy or Black. It looks like an engraved house plaque, printed on your own paper.
- For something cute and friendly, use the Friendly design in Sage green, Purple or Navy.
- Add your family name (“The Garcia Family”) or a logo for a home business; both can be hidden with the eye buttons.
Do not knock and do not ring the doorbell signs
- Do not knock or ring the doorbell: for people who work nights, work from home or just want quiet.
- Dogs will bark: “Please don’t knock or ring. The dogs will bark.” with a paw print.
- Baby sleeping: “Shh… baby sleeping. Please don’t knock.”
- Each one has an “Instead, please” line for friends and couriers: “text (555) 010-2233” or “leave packages by the side door”.
- Print a half-page sign (two per sheet) to fit next to a doorbell or a video doorbell, or on a small window.
No religious, political or sales visits
- Choose No sales, religious or political visits: “No sales, religious or political visits, surveys or solar offers, please. Thank you.”
- Rewrite the list to match what you get at your door: home security, pest control, roofing, fundraising.
- It is a request. Many visitors respect it; whether a local rule also applies to charities, religious or political visitors depends on your city or county.
No soliciting signs in English and Spanish
- Choose English and Spanish: “No se permiten vendedores” above the title, and a short line in both languages under it.
- You can rewrite the Spanish, or swap it for another language your neighbours speak.
What does no soliciting mean?
- Soliciting means coming to your door to sell something, ask for money or donations, sign you up, take a survey or hand out flyers.
- A no soliciting sign asks those visitors not to knock. Friends, neighbours, invited guests and deliveries are not soliciting.
- “No soliciting” is a request about your door. “No trespassing” is about entering the property at all; this tool does not make no trespassing signs, because some states give them a legal effect with their own rules about size, wording and where they are posted.
Are no soliciting signs legal?
- Yes, you can put a no soliciting sign on your own home or office. In a rental, an apartment or an HOA, check your lease or the rules about what can go on the door.
- What happens if someone ignores it depends on local rules: in many towns a local rule makes it an offence to solicit at a door with such a sign, and some towns ask door-to-door sellers for a permit. Check your city or county code if it matters to you.
- If you do buy something from a door-to-door seller in the United States, the FTC Cooling-Off Rule usually gives you until midnight of the third business day to cancel a sale of $25 or more made at your home (16 CFR part 429; some sales, such as insurance and real estate, are not covered).
Where to put a no soliciting sign
- On the front door at eye level, or next to the doorbell, where visitors look before they knock.
- On a storm door, a glass door or a window: tape it to the inside of the glass, facing out.
- On a gate or a mailbox, or in the yard: paper is not weatherproof, so use a clear sheet protector, laminate it, or tape it to a board.
- A half-page sign folded as a tent card works on a front desk or a reception counter.
