Which sign do I need?

Before you print a sign

  • Keep the words short. A sign is read from a few steps away, so the title should be the biggest thing on it.
  • Use one strong colour. Dark ink on white paper is the easiest to read, and it saves ink.
  • Leave a margin. Most home printers cannot print to the edge, so the signs keep a small white border.
  • Put it where people will look: at eye level, facing the way they walk or drive.
  • Outdoors, put the sign in a clear plastic sleeve so rain does not ruin it.

Rules about where a sign may be put up differ from place to place. Check with your landlord, your building or your town if you are not sure.

Are these signs free?

Yes. They are free to use, need no account, and never add a watermark or a SnapPaperwork logo to your sign.

Can I make the sign bigger?

Yes. Save the PDF and have it printed as a poster at a copy shop, for example 18 × 24 inches or A2. The text stays sharp.

Can I add my logo or change the colours?

Yes. Most signs let you add a logo and choose from six or more ink colours, and you can resize or hide any line.

Can I print two signs on one sheet?

Yes. Many signs can print as two half-page signs to cut apart, or as a table tent you fold in the middle.

Is anything I type uploaded?

No. Everything stays in your browser and is saved only on your own device.
