Rounded and dots soften the squares; the three big corner squares stay solid so phones still find the code. Scan it with your phone before you print.

Logo in the middle (opt.)

With a logo the code switches to its strongest error correction, and the logo covers less than a fifth of its width. Kept in this browser only; not included in a share link.

PNG for documents, slides and social posts; SVG for a print shop or a design app. Share link sends a link that shows this code, ready to scan: nothing is uploaded, the code travels inside the link.

Print at 100% (“Actual size”), not “Fit to page”. Scan one code from the printed page before you print or cut the rest.

A round badge for your QR code

A QR code is always built from a square grid, so a “circle QR code” is the square code placed in the middle of a round badge. This page does that for you: the code, its white margin and an optional line of words sit inside a circle, with a solid ring round it or with no ring.

The squares are drawn as dots by default, which suits a round shape. You can go back to rounded or plain squares in the Look section. The badge is made in your browser; what you type is not uploaded.

How to make a round QR code

  1. Choose what the code opens

A link, a profile, WiFi, a contact or some text. Type it in the box.

  2. Pick the look

In the Look section choose the colours, the dot style and a ring or plain. Add a logo or a line of words if you want.

  3. Scan, then save

Scan the badge on the screen with your phone. Then save it as a PNG or an SVG.

Does a round QR code still scan?

Yes, when the code itself stays whole. The badge keeps the code’s square, its white margin and the three big corner squares exactly where a phone expects them; the circle is only a frame round them. This page also reads the badge back with a QR reader as you work and tells you if it does not scan.

Dots and rounded squares are a look, not a requirement. They scan well at a good size, but a very small print can lose the detail, so keep the badge large and scan the printed one before you make many.

Ring or plain

The solid ring is drawn in the code colour. It gives the badge an edge, and it shows up on a light or a dark surface. The plain badge has a white disc and no ring, which suits a surface that already has its own edge. If you choose “See-through” in the Look section, the disc is empty and only the dots, the ring and your words are drawn; use that on something light.

The PNG has see-through corners outside the circle, so it sits cleanly on a coloured page. The SVG stays sharp at any size.

Printing it

To print round stickers on a sheet, cut along the circles, use the round QR stickers page: it puts the code and its words in a circle and prints a sheet with cut lines.

If you print the badge from the PNG or SVG yourself, make it at least 2 cm across the code, and bigger when the code holds a lot of text.

Where round badges work

  • A product label or a lid.
  • A button, a badge or a coaster.
  • A logo mark on a page or a poster.
  • A window or a door sticker.

Frequently asked questions

Is the circle part of the QR code?

No. The code is a square. The circle is a frame round it, so the badge keeps everything a phone needs.

Can I print round stickers with it?

Yes. The round QR stickers page makes a sheet of round stickers with cut lines. This page is for the image itself.

Why are the corners of the PNG see-through?

So the badge can sit on any colour of page without a white square round it. Open it on a dark page to see it.

Can I add my logo?

Yes. Upload it in the Look section. It sits in the middle of the code, and the code switches to its strongest error correction.

Does the code expire?

No. It is a static code that holds your link or text itself, so it works for as long as the link does.

Is it free?

Yes. There is no account and no watermark.
