A QR code that gets your number onto their phone
Type your phone number and print a sign for a window, a counter, a van or a flyer. Anyone who scans it with their phone camera gets your number ready to call, without typing it in.
The code holds your number and nothing else. It is made in your browser, it does not expire, and no one is called until the person who scanned it decides to.
How to make a Call Us QR code
-
Type your number
Use the number you want people to call, with the country code if you take calls from abroad (for example +1 512 555 0142).
-
Pick the words
“Call us”, “Call to book”, “Questions? Call us”. Add your business name if you like.
-
Scan, then print
Scan the code with your phone to check that it shows your number. Then print the sign, or save the code as a PNG or SVG.
What happens when someone scans it
The code opens the phone’s dialer with your number. How it looks depends on the phone and its camera app. On a Pixel phone, Google’s help page says the camera recognizes the code and “shows a bubble or link on the screen”, and you tap the link that appears. In general, the person sees the number first and chooses whether to call; the sign should say what you want them to do.
It also helps to print your number in words on the sign, for people who would rather dial by hand.

Good places for the sign
- A shop window, for people passing when you are closed.
- A van, a trailer or a yard sign for a trade or a garden service.
- A flyer or a poster, next to the offer.
- A counter, a desk or a waiting room.
Tips
- Print the number in large digits next to the code, for people who would rather dial by hand.
- Check the opening hours or the time zone, so people know when someone will pick up.
- If the number changes, the printed code will call the old number: print a new sign.

Frequently asked questions
Does it call my number straight away?
No. The code only gives the phone your number. The person who scanned it decides whether to call.
Should I add the country code?
If people may call from another country, yes: start with + and the country code, for example +1 for the US and Canada or +44 for the UK. If everyone is local, the number as you dial it is fine.
Does the code expire?
No. It is a static code that holds only your number, so it works for as long as the number does.
Can I save the number as a contact instead?
Yes. The contact QR code lets people save your name, number and email with one scan.
Can I use a landline or a free-phone number?
Yes. Any number that can be dialled works. Type it as you would dial it.
Is it free?
Yes. No account and no watermark. Your number is never sent to this site.
