A QR code for your Facebook page, group or event
Type your page’s username and this page makes a QR code that opens facebook.com/your-page. For a group or an event, paste its link instead. A printable sign goes around the code, with your own words on it.
It suits shops, clubs, churches, schools and neighbourhood groups that use Facebook to post news. The code is made in your browser, nothing is uploaded, and it does not expire.
How to make a Facebook QR code
-
Type the page name or paste a link
The username is the part after facebook.com/ in your page’s address. Groups and events: copy the link from the address bar or the Share button.
-
Scan the code
Check that it opens the right page or group, on a phone where you are logged out too.
-
Print the sign
Choose the words, the size and a style, then print. Or save the code as a PNG or SVG.
Page, group or event?
A page is public: anyone can see your posts. A group may ask people to request to join, and a private group only shows its posts to members, so say that on the sign: “Ask to join our group”. An event link is good for one date; after the event, the code is less useful.
Where to put a Facebook sign
- On the shop door with your opening hours, so people check for holiday changes.
- On the club or church notice board: “News and photos on our page”.
- On a flyer for a fundraiser, linking to the event.
- In a school newsletter, linking to the parents’ group.

Frequently asked questions
Does the code open the Facebook app?
On most phones with Facebook installed, the link opens in the app; otherwise in the browser, where Facebook may ask people to log in to see more.
My page has no username. What do I do?
Paste the full link of your page from the address bar. The code opens whatever link you give it.
Can I make a code for a private group?
Yes. The code opens the group page, where people can ask to join. They will not see posts until a group admin lets them in.
Does it expire?
No. It is a static link and works as long as the page, group or event exists.
Is it free?
Yes. No account and no watermark.
