Words on the sign

Words on the sign

The words follow the kind of code until you type your own.

Look Colours

Rounded and dots soften the squares; the three big corner squares stay solid so phones still find the code. Scan it with your phone before you print.

It changes with the kind of code until you type your own. Leave it empty for no line.

Logo in the middle (opt.)

With a logo the code switches to its strongest error correction, and the logo covers less than a fifth of its width. Kept in this browser only; not included in a share link.

Pick a sign on the right. It opens the tool for that sign.

PNG for documents, slides and social posts; SVG for a print shop or a design app. Share link sends a link that shows this code, ready to scan: nothing is uploaded, the code travels inside the link.

Print at 100% (“Actual size”), not “Fit to page”. Scan one code from the printed page before you print or cut the rest.

A QR code for your YouTube channel or one video

Type your channel’s @handle and this page makes a QR code that opens youtube.com/@your-handle. Or paste the link of one video, playlist or Short: the code opens exactly that.

It is a plain link made in your browser, with a printable sign around it. Nothing is uploaded, there is no account, and the code does not expire.

How to make a YouTube QR code

  1. Type your @handle or paste a link

Your handle is shown on your channel page under its name.

  2. Scan the code

Check that it opens your channel or the right video.

  3. Print or save it

Print a sign, or save a PNG or SVG for a manual, a box, a slide or a flyer.

Good places for a YouTube code

  • In a product manual or on the box: a link to the set-up video.
  • On a recipe card or a menu: “Watch how we make it”.
  • At the end of a talk or a class, pointing to the recording.
  • On a church, school or club notice board, linking to the live stream.

For one video, use the Share button under the video and copy the link. A link to a playlist keeps working when you add videos, which is handy for a series of lessons.

Unlisted videos open for anyone who has the link, so anyone who scans the code can watch them.

Frequently asked questions

Does the code open the YouTube app?

On most phones with the YouTube app, the link opens in the app; otherwise it opens in the browser.

My channel has no @handle. What do I do?

Paste the link to your channel page instead. The code opens whatever link you give it.

Can the code start a video at a set time?

Yes, if the link does. Use Share under the video, tick “Start at”, and paste that link.

Does it expire?

No. It is a static link and works as long as the channel or video is online.

Is it free?

Yes. No account and no watermark.
