A QR code that opens your music
Copy the link to your song, album, playlist or artist page in Spotify or Apple Music, paste it here, and print a sign. People scan it with their phone camera and your music opens, so there is nothing to search for or type.
It suits bands at a gig, a stall selling records, a shop with its own playlist, a wedding or a party. The code is a plain link made in your browser. It does not expire, and nothing you paste goes through this site.
How to make a QR code for Spotify or Apple Music
-
Copy the link in the app
Open your song, album, playlist or artist page and choose Share, then Copy link. The steps are below.
-
Paste it and pick the service
Choose Spotify, Apple Music or another service. The words on the sign follow your choice.
-
Scan, then print
Scan the code with your phone to check that it opens the right page. Then print the sign, or save the code as a PNG or SVG.
Spotify: copy the link
Spotify’s help page says that on a computer you right-click the song, album or artist, or click the three-dot icon next to it, then select Share and click Copy Link.
On a phone or tablet, tap the three-dot icon next to what you want to share, tap Share, then select “By copying a link”.
Apple Music: copy the link
Apple’s help page says that on music.apple.com you find the song, album or playlist, click the More button and choose Copy Link. When someone clicks the link, the music opens in Apple Music on the web, where they can play it, add it to their library, and more.

Another music service
SoundCloud, YouTube Music, Bandcamp and other services also give each song or album its own web address. Look for a Share button or a Copy link option in their app or on their site, and choose “your music service” in the form so the sign says “Scan to listen”.
Before you print
- Scan the code with two different phones before you print many copies.
- Link to a single page, such as an album or a playlist, rather than a search result.
- Put the artist or band name on the sign, so people know whose music they are about to hear.
- Whoever scans is taken to the page of the service you chose. Whether it opens in an app or in the browser may depend on what is installed on their phone.

Frequently asked questions
Can I make a code for a Spotify playlist?
Yes. Copy the link of the playlist with Share, then Copy link, and paste it here. Songs, albums and artist pages work the same way.
Does it work for Apple Music links?
Yes. Choose Apple Music in the form, paste the link you copied from Apple Music, and the sign will say “Listen on Apple Music”.
What if my music is on another service?
Choose “your music service” and paste its link. The sign then says “Scan to listen”. Any web address works.
Will the code stop working if I change the playlist?
No. The code holds the playlist’s link, not its songs, so it does not change when the playlist does. If you delete the playlist, the code stops working.
Does the code expire?
No. It is a static link, so the code works for as long as the link does.
Is it free?
Yes. No account and no watermark. This page is not connected with Spotify or Apple.
